This year marks our Tenth race as members of Kaky's Krew. My family formed this team in memory of my mother, Katherine Brasel, who lost her battle with breast cancer in February of 2010. Each year, my girls come up with a theme and design shirts. This year we are just doing baseball shirts as a team. We are also blessed to have a breast cancer survivor on our team, Shandra Maxwell. I have been fortunate to have been friends with her for 13 years. I also Walk for a dear aunt and cousin, Ava and Kim and in memory of another good friend's mom, Lareda.
Breast Cancer seems to affect us all in some way or another. We join Komen because we want to take action and be More Than Pink™. I want to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer and need your help.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts. Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research. Will you please join me in making a donation today? Thanks for your support!
