Everyday I wake up, head to work and put my bravest face on as I spend my day assisting women through the initial phase of breast cancer diagnosis. It's a job which humbles me daily. It teaches me that life is fleeting. Life is never certain. But what IS certain is my dedication to serving women in our community. Helping women understand their risk for this disease, detecting it as early as possible, and assisting those who are fighting IS MY MISSION.
If Susan G. Komen didn't have a presence in our community, thousands of women would go without life saving screening and diagnostic services. I am in a unique position to see the patients benefit from funding, support, education, and research every day.
Breast cancer is a part of my life. It's in my family's history, it occupies my day but hopefully, it will never become part of me. Please donate a dollar, or 10, 20 or 100 to help Komen conintue to do what I watch it do every day. Save. Lives.
