Welcome to the donation page of Team Bravefriends for Jesse Sutton. On April 27th, we will walk in support of Jesse and her battle with breast cancer.
In mid-December, Jesse started experiencing back pain that came and went. While the pain was not continuous, she also started feeling like her back was inflamed coupled with a clammy feeling like she was coming down with something. A week or so later, the pain felt more acute in the kidney area. Thinking it was a kidney stone, Jesse went to urgent care, only to get the all clear that there were no kidney stones. The next week, she became overwhelmed with nausea while at work nearly fainting. The next morning her back pain continued. Visiting the doctor on January 9th, more tests were ran prompting a CT scan. On January 17th, the CT scan confirmed multiple suspicious spots on the liver. On January 21, Jesse and Trevor met with an oncologist, which prompted additional testing with another CT scan and a mammogram. As a result of these final tests, Jesse was diagnosed with Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma or Stage 4 breast cancer that had spread to the liver, spine, and bone. Over the past couple of months, Jesse has underwent radiation, hormone therapy, and most recently a oophrectomy.
Jesse's positive spirit and bravery is contagious. Team Bravefriends will walk with Jesse in support of her battle as we raise funds and awareness to fight this terrible disease. We are honored that Jesse has given us the name Bravefriends, but without her courage and determination, we wouldn't be brave at all.
