Thank You for Supporting the 2015 BigWig Campaign.
As a Komen Ozark BigWig, I would like to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. This personal fundraising page has been created and I have set my fundraising goal at a minimum of $1,000 because I know that I can make a difference and save lives of local women. Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a tax deductible donation today!
o $25 Cost of a gift to help women travel to and from treatment
o $50 Provides valuable breast health and breast cancer prevention education materials
o $150 Average cost of a mammogram
o $500 Financial assistance to breast cancer patients whose utilities, housing, transportation or medications are at risk
o $1000 Provides nearly 50 hours of personalized patient navigation for a newly
diagnosed breast cancer patient
Each donation makes a big difference in the lives of local women by funding screenings, diagnostic testing, treatment support, education programs, navigation programs and vital national research.
The BigWig that raises the most money by the Pink Ribbon Luncheon on Friday, October 2 will be recognized as the top BigWig at the luncheon. Please help me in making a difference and also win this friendly competition!
Every BigWig knows what’s raised here stays here!
Please Know Your Your Breast Health...
The key to survival is early detection.
The greatest risk factors for breast cancer are being female and growing older. Breast cancer knows no boundary, be it age, gender, socio-economic status or geographic location. We must continue to keep breast cancer top of mind because it affects so many!
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. That’s one in eight within your company, school and organization. Now is the time to take action, to secure a long, healthy future for our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends!
Three simple steps for early detection are regular mammograms, clinical exams and breast self- exams. It is important to make healthy lifestyle choices.
And, remember, breast cancer affects more than just the patient; friends and family need support too.
